The Cabinet Scrutiny Committee meets monthly to scrutinise the decisions of KCC's Leader, Cabinet and individual Cabinet Members. It is chaired by the Lib Dem Leader of the Opposition, Trudy Dean.

The next meeting takes place on Wednesday 21 July at 10 am, in the Council Chamber, Sessions House, County Hall, Maidstone. People are welcome to attend the meeting which is also webcast on www.kent.gov.uk/webcasts.

Main agenda items

  • Revenue and Capital Budget Monitoring Exception Report (Cabinet Decision)

The only element of this report that has been called in for examination relates to the changes being proposed to the Integrated Transport Strategy.

Mr N. Chard, Cabinet Member for Environment, Highways and Waste, Mr M. Austerberry, Executive Director Environment, Highways and Waste and Mr J Burr, Director of Kent Highway Services will attend the meeting between 10.15am and 10.45am to answer Members' questions on this item

Mr J. Simmonds, Cabinet Member for Finance and Ms L. McMullan, Director of Finance are also invited to attend the meeting in relation to the above item.

  • Operation Find and Fix - Weather Damage Repairs to Roads (Cabinet Decision)

Mr N. Chard, Cabinet Member for Environment, Highways and Waste and Mr J Burr, Director of Kent Highway Services will attend the meeting between 10.45am and 11.15am to answer Members' questions on the this item.

  • Community Wardens - increasing the number of communities receiving warden services (Cabinet Member Decision)

Mr M. Hill, Cabinet Member for Communities, Ms A. Honey Managing Director Communities, Mr C Bainbridge, Director Of Community Safety & Regulatory Services and Mr S Beaumont, Head Of Service, Community Safety will attend the meeting at 11.15am to answer Members' questions on this item.
