Dave Naghi has been a Maidstone Councillor for East ward since 2002. He is a qualified youth worker and has run youth clubs for many years with Kent County Council. Raised in Maidstone and educated at Vinters Boys, Dave has run his own successful building company for 31 years. As a working family man, he knows how hard it can be for young people to get a start in life.
Dave is involved in lots of local groups. He is Chairman of Maidstone Sea Cadet Unit, a trustee of the Cutbush & Corral alms houses in Maidstone, a member of Maidstone River Festival committee, a member of the World Custard Pie championships committee and centre manager of the Howard De Walden youth centre in Maidstone.
Dave said:
"The Liberal Democrats clearly have the best policies for pensioners, for students, and for families. Students should not be starting their working life with a huge burden of debt and people should not be working just pay more tax to government."
