The decision made by the Maidstone Tories last Spring to slash the rubbish collection to a fortnightly service outraged the public. The local press and Lib  Dem postbags were inundated with letters of protest.																				</description>

																		Despite opposition from Liberal Democrat councillor Rob Field, the planning application for the redevelopment of the Parkwood Tavern was approved, subject some tough conditions. The Senacre school redevelopment also took a step towards approval, but with strong protection for local residents. Rob said "I will keep fighting to get the best deal for local people".																				</description>
