A team of Kent County Council officers is being lined up for the Kent International Gateway public inquiry starting on Tuesday 13 October. The team will present evidence to support Maidstone council against the massive rail freight depot proposed beside the M20 at junction 8.

A planning inspector will hold the inquiry for two days at the Ramada Hotel, Hollingbourne, before transferring to Kent House, Romney Place, Maidstone. It is anticipated the inquiry could go on for up to eight weeks.
